social-media-app does not create public user accounts or maintain a central database of Facebook users. It is a private publishing utility used by its operator and authorized app-role users.

Revoke Facebook Access#

To remove the app’s access through Facebook:

  1. Sign in to the Facebook account that authorized the app.
  2. Open Settings & privacy, then Settings.
  3. Open Business integrations.
  4. Select social-media-app and choose Remove.
  5. Confirm the removal. Choose whether existing Facebook posts should also be removed only if that is your intention.

Removing the integration prevents the app from making future API requests with the revoked authorization. Facebook content that remains on a Page continues to be handled under Meta’s own retention and deletion policies.

Remove Local Publishing Data#

When a managed Page is disconnected, the operator removes its locally stored Page access token and publishing configuration. Associated operational metadata, including Page IDs, post IDs, permalinks, and publication timestamps, can also be removed when it is no longer required to prevent duplicate publication or diagnose earlier delivery failures.

Because the app is not available to unrelated external users, there is no separate social-media-app customer account to delete.
