This Privacy Policy applies to social-media-app, a private Facebook Pages publishing utility operated by Robert Ladstätter. It does not replace the privacy policies of the software products whose Pages receive posts.

Scope#

social-media-app is used only by the operator and authorized app-role users. It does not provide public registration, customer accounts, or a service through which unrelated users can connect their Facebook Pages.

Data Accessed#

When the operator authorizes a Page, the app may process:

  • basic public-profile information returned during Facebook authentication;
  • the names and IDs of Pages managed by the operator;
  • Page access tokens required for authenticated publishing;
  • approved post text, links, images, and image descriptions;
  • Page and post information needed to verify publication; and
  • publication metadata such as post IDs, permalinks, timestamps, and delivery status.

The app does not intentionally collect Facebook follower profiles, private messages, visitor comments, advertising audiences, or unrelated account activity.

Purpose of Processing#

This information is used only to authenticate the operator, select the intended Page, publish approved content, avoid publishing to the wrong Page, and record whether publication succeeded.

Storage and Retention#

Page credentials are stored in private, access-restricted configuration controlled by the operator. Credentials are not embedded in the public website or published with social-media content.

Page credentials are retained until they are rotated, revoked, or no longer needed. Limited publication metadata may be retained as an operational history so duplicate posts can be avoided and publication failures can be diagnosed.

Sharing#

Post content and the data required to publish it are transmitted to Meta through the official Facebook Graph API. The operator does not sell Facebook data or share Page credentials with advertisers or data brokers.

Security#

Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used to restrict access to Page credentials and publishing configuration. Access tokens are treated as secrets and are removed or replaced when access is revoked.

Changes#

This policy may be updated when the app’s permissions or publishing workflow change. The revision date shown on this page identifies the latest update.
