YouTube App Privacy Policy
This policy applies to net.ladstatt Youtube Uploader, a private YouTube publishing and analytics tool operated by Robert Ladstätter. It does not replace the privacy policies of the products featured in the videos.
Private use#
The tool is used by its operator to manage his own product channels. It is not offered as a public service and has no public registration or customer accounts. Publishing this policy does not make the tool, its credentials or its analytics reports public.
Data accessed and purpose#
When the operator authorizes a channel with Google, the tool may process:
- OAuth access and refresh tokens, used to authenticate requests;
- channel and video identifiers and metadata, used to verify the intended channel and manage its content;
- operator-selected videos, thumbnails, titles, descriptions, captions and playlist information, used for authorized publishing and maintenance;
- aggregate channel and video analytics, including views, watch time, likes, comment counts, shares and traffic sources, used to assess product videos; and
- upload results, publication identifiers and diagnostic information, used to avoid duplicate uploads and investigate failures.
Analytics collection is read-only. Publishing or editing content is a separate operation performed when authorized by the operator. The tool does not provide access to unrelated users’ channels or intentionally collect individual viewers’ identities or private messages.
Storage and security#
OAuth credentials are stored in private configuration outside the website and source repositories. They are not included in public pages or analytics reports. Channel configuration, publication records, provider caches and generated analytics reports are retained in operator-controlled storage for these internal workflows. Access to this data is restricted to the operator’s authorized working environment.
Sharing and limited use#
Authentication requests, selected upload content and the data needed to carry out authorized operations are sent to Google through its official APIs. Video content becomes visible on YouTube according to the visibility selected by the operator. Private credentials and internal analytics reports are not published with it.
Google user data is not sold, shared with advertising networks or data brokers, or used to train general-purpose AI models. Its use is limited to the publishing and analytics purposes described here. Use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
Revocation and deletion#
The operator can revoke the tool’s authorization through Google Account connections. Revocation prevents further authorized API access; it does not automatically remove previously stored local records or videos already published on YouTube. Local credentials, caches and reports can be removed separately from operator-controlled storage. Published content is managed separately through YouTube.
Contact and changes#
For questions or requests concerning this tool’s data, contact Robert Ladstätter at rladstaetter@gmail.com.
This policy will be updated if the tool’s data use changes. The date above identifies the current revision.
